WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY MODS FROM MODTHESIMS  
We were made aware that three mods from TwistedMexi were suddenly updated on ModTheSims after years of that account being inactive. We have confirmed with TwistedMexi that he did not upload these himself, and his account must have been compromised.

We have now been made aware that this has affected files purporting to be from moxiemason, too. Also on years old projects that haven't been updated in some time. There is no way to know exactly how many projects or accounts have been compromised at this time. The only advice we have is to not download ANYTHING from ModTheSims until further notice.

I repeat, do not download ANYTHING from ModTheSims until further notice.

All of these compromised mods have been altered to include a new script called mod.pyc that as of this time we have been unable to decompile. This is almost certainly malicious. Do not download these files. Do not install these files. Do not run the game while they are on your computer.

If you have already installed any mods from ModTheSims in the past 24 hours, DELETE IT immediately, and RUN A VIRUS SCAN on your computer

It has just been discovered that old mods on Mod The Sims have been changed and updated without the creators' knowledge.
As this could be a malware attack we are advising DO NOT update mods from MTS until we know more.

Known affected files:

TMEX Framework

TMEX-ui

moxiemason_nomosaic_uiframework

any other file with -Framework, -ui or -uiframework in the name.
